I. Core Technical Principles
Thermal radiation and halogen cycle: Halogen lamps emit light by heating tungsten filaments at high temperatures (with a color temperature of approximately 3000K), and combine with halogen gases such as iodine and bromine to achieve a "regeneration cycle", extending the filament life to 2000-4000 hours. Its spectrum includes visible light (15-20%) and infrared (85%), making it suitable for both heating and lighting functions.
Fixing and exposure applications: In printers, halogen lamps are mainly used in fixing units. They rapidly heat toner to a molten state through infrared radiation to achieve paper fixation. As an exposure light source in electrostatic copiers, it is matched with selenium-tellurium alloy photoconductors (with a sensitivity of 400-550nm) to ensure the accurate reproduction of the original color.

Ii. Key Technical Parameters and Performance Indicators
Power and size: The power range is from 80W to 16kW (for example, 4.8kW metal halide lamps are used for random printing machines), the light-emitting length covers 150mm to 1800mm, the working voltage is mostly 220V±10% or 380V, and the current is stable (for example, the pure copper cable design ensures low fluctuation).
Energy efficiency and lifespan: The luminous efficiency is approximately 15-20 lumens per watt. Although it is lower than that of LED, it has a significant cost advantage. The typical lifespan is 1,000 to 5,000 hours, with some industrial models reaching up to 8,000 hours, supporting continuous 24-hour production.
Spectral characteristics: The continuous spectrum is close to daylight (color rendering index >95), suitable for scenarios that require precise color matching. The proportion of infrared radiation is high, making it suitable for fixing processes that require rapid heating.

Iii. Safety Regulations and Key Operating Points
Installation and Maintenance: Do not touch the lamp tube directly with your hands. You must wear gloves or use a lint-free cloth to avoid oil stains affecting the uniformity of light emission. When installing, make sure the exhaust head is facing upwards to prevent the halogen circulation from being blocked. During transportation, it needs to be fixed and shockproof to prevent the filament from breaking.
Heat dissipation and protection: The machine is equipped with an electric fan for forced heat dissipation, with the temperature controlled at ≤50℃. The design of the reflector needs to be precise to reduce the thermal radiation of infrared rays to the glass. Some models are equipped with filters to isolate infrared rays.
Electrical safety: Complies with IEC 60598 standard, insulation resistance ≥2MΩ, withstand voltage test ≥1.5kV; Goggles must be worn during operation to prevent damage from strong light.
